During your week in the Methow Valley we will have over 40 hours of classroom time.

Our time together will include:


  • small group lectures on intermediate and advanced herbal topics 
  • hands-on activities such as pulse diagnosis and intake practices 
  • a plant dye workshop where you'll make your own flower scarf
  • a workshop on growing your own medicinal plants
  • beautiful field trips around the valley to visit many beloved plants 
  • enjoying each other's company, nourishing food and time around the camp fire

  • an herbal approach to common chronic degenerative diseases
    • back pain
    • women's health
    • metabolic syndrome (insulin resistance)
    • heart disease
    • common digestive complaints
  • tongue diagnosis (learn to see health problems in the tongue)
  • introduction to pulse diagnosis
  • how to use the right dosage of herbs for the person and the condition


Field Trips

We will take three field trips to spend time with plants and see the epic beauty of the valley. 

#1 - We'll travel to an alpine lake to see valerian, arnica, elephant's head and many more beautiful high elevation plants. 

#2 - We'll spend time at a local herb farm to see numerous medicinal plants and get an introduction to growing your own medicinal plants. 


#3- We'll be exploring the lands around our retreat center. The area boasts a variety of different habitats and many medicinal plants.
